Abstract.

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that in the modern economy, investment projects play a key role in ensuring the economic growth of the national economy, industry or business entity, as well as ensuring the economic security of the country as a whole. Analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of investment projects are an integral part of investment decision-making and make it possible to determine the economic feasibility of a project, calculate its projected effectiveness, identify potential risks and determine the directions of sustainable development for the current and future periods. The article is based on theoretical and methodological aspects of analytical procedures that determine the effectiveness of investment projects and take into account the tasks and stages of their implementation. Based on the essential methods of investment analysis, the following are analyzed: net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), simple and discounted payback periods (PBP and DPBP). The study is based on an analysis of the effectiveness of a socially significant project for the construction of a toll road bridge in the Republic of Udmurtia and analyzes its investment attractiveness based on the above methods, as well as recommendations for improving its effectiveness. The research hypothesis is determined by a review of the effectiveness of an investment project based on its actual existence. The purpose of the scientific research is due to the generalization and systematization of the methodology of effective investment design and determination of economic benefits.
